Helen Agnes Peitzmeier, 63 of West Point died October 9, 2005 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha after living with Ovarian Cancer since 1999. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West Point with Reverend Frank Lordemann as Celebrant. Guild and Christian Mothers Rosary will be 1:30 pm. Tuesday at Stokely Funeral Home. Public wake services will be 7:30 pm. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Mary’s Catholic Church Endowment. Visitation will be 9:00 am. until 6:00 pm. Tuesday at Stokely Funeral Home then continue at the church. Those wishing to sign the register may do so on line at www.stokelyfuneralhome.com. Helen was born April 25, 1942 in Humphrey to Lawrence and Winifred Magsamen Mausbach. She grew up on the farm in rural Platte County and attended St. Mary’s Catholic grade school. For high school she attended one year with the Sisters of St. Francis at Colorado Springs, Colorado, then graduated from Humphrey St. Francis with the class of 1960. After graduation she worked at the St. Mary’s Hospital in Columbus and at Mutual of Omaha in Omaha. On August 31, 1963 she married Andrew Peitzmeier at St. Mary’s Church rural Humphrey. The couple made their home in West Point until moving to the farm west of West Point in 1966. Helen was active on the farm, milking cows and attending to the bucket calves. After her cancer diagnosis in 1999, she focused her work to the farrowing barn. Helen was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Guild and Christian Mothers. Helen is survived by her husband, Andrew of West Point, daughters Susan (William) Bonet of New York, New York, Sharon (Tony) Scheerger of Omaha, son Dennis Peitzmeier of Snyder, grandchildren Miranda and Skylar Scheerger, her mother Winifred Mausbach of Humphrey, sisters Patty (Mike) Gordon and Jane (Bob) Ford both of Omaha, and Anna Mae (Jim) Kessler of Lincoln, brothers Ron (Adella) Mausbach of Omaha, Lee (Gayle) Mausbach of Eaton, Wyoming, Nick (Donna) Mausbach of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Bob Mausbach and Ted (Alberta) Mausbach of Scottsdale, Arizona, Dan (Debi) Mausbach of Greeley, Colorado and Larry (Sue) Mausbach of Lincoln. She is preceded in death by her father and an infant sister Sharon.
