Hazel M. Liska, 98 of West Point died Friday June 17, 2011 at West Point Living Center. Funeral Services will be 10:30 am. Monday at Grace Lutheran Church with Vicar Dom Guido officiating. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be noon until 6:00 pm. Sunday with family present 3:00 to 5:00. Memorials may be made to Mount Hope Cemetery. Stokely Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Hazel was born May 18, 1913 to Joseph and Mary (Rozendal) Ellis on a farm near Scribner and attended District 47 Country School and West Point Public School. On November 2, 1932, Hazel married Anton “Tony” Liska, who was a local barber. Hazel was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Choir and Loyalty Circle and SOS No. 6. She enjoyed flowers and gardening, camping, baking pies and quilting. She is survived by grandson Edmund Conry, Jr. of Floral Park, WY; granddaughter Annamae Conry of Franklin Square, NY; and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Anton, in 1992; an infant son; daughter and son in law Darlene (Edmund) Conry; brother Harvey Ellis; and niece Judy Ellis.
