Guy Steven Blankenau, 65, died in Los Angeles, CA on April 29, 2023.  His wish of cremation and Christian Rites took place in California.  Visitation will be Saturday, June 3 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm with a Memorial Service at 4:00pm at Stokely Funeral Home in Dodge.  Following the service, a Celebration of Life gathering will be at the Merry Martini.  Arrangements by Stokely Funeral Home.

Guy was born on July 17, 1957 to Robert and Arlene (Bos) Blankenau of Dodge.  He graduated from Dodge High School in 1975.  He excelled in football and received a scholarship from the University of South Dakota.  He pursued a life as a musician with many bands and other musicians including “Crowbait,” “Black Sabbath,” and “Blue Oyster Cult.”  His stage name was “Guytar.” Many years were spent as a mechanic at the family car dealership in Dodge and also where he did music.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert “Bob” Blankenau; nephew, Rob Clausen; grandparents, and several cousins, uncles, and aunts.

He is survived by his daughter, Ginger (Brian) Ingersoll MacDuff; mother, Arlene Blankenau; grandsons, Barrett and Emmett Ingersoll; sister, Lisa (Chris) Clausen; and niece, Beth Clausen.
