Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West Point with Reverend Frank Lordemann as celebrant. Burial will be in the St. Boniface Cemetery at Monterey. Guild Rosary will be 1:30 pm. Tuesday and Public Wake will be 7:30 pm. Tuesday both at Stokely Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph’s Retirement Home. Gertrude was born March 14, 1906 on the family farm south of Monterey in Dodge County to John and Justina Meister Heimann. She attended St. Boniface Catholic School at Monterey. She lived with and cared for her mother while working as a cook for St. Francis Hospital. She moved to St. Joseph’s Home in the late 1980’s and finally to the West Point Living Center in May of 2004. Gertrude was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Guild. She enjoyed playing Bingo and playing cards. Survivors include a brother Richard Heimann of West Point, sister-in-law Emma Heimann of Scribner, nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were brothers Victor, Bernard, Joseph and Arthur.
