Gertrude C. Ernesti, 79, of Dodge died June 3, 2011 at St. Francis Memorial Hospital. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Tuesday, June 7 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Aloys with burial to follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 9 am to 8 pm, with a Christian Mothers Rosary at 1:30 pm and the public wake service at 7 pm at Stokely Funeral Home in West Point which is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to St Aloysius Church Cemetery in Aloys. Gertrude Clara Ernesti was born January 6, 1932 in West Point, Nebraska to Ben and Catherine (Ortmeier) Franzluebbers. She attended St. Boniface Catholic School in Monterey and married Richard Ernesti on October 10, 1956 at St. Boniface Church. The couple farmed near Aloys, NE where they raised their family. She enjoyed tending to her flowers and garden and making quilts. Gertrude was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Guild and Christian Mothers. She is survived by her husband, Richard of Dodge; sons Don (Wendy) Ernesti of Wisner, NE and Brian Ernesti of Dodge, NE ; daughters Donna (Kurt) Brester of Dodge, Diane (Marvin) Ulrich of West Point, and Bonnie Kluthe of Kearney; grandchildren, Chad and Justine Ernesti, Matthew and Mitchell Brester, Rachel (Eric) Schulz, Russ and Amanda Ulrich and Brandon (Katie), Nicole and Spc. Cody Kluthe; great-grandchildren Karter Kluthe, Karlee Kluthe and Logan Schulz; mother-in-law Mary Ernesti of Dodge, brothers Joe (Rose) Franzluebbers of West Point, Charlie (Irene) Franzluebbers of Dodge, Wenzel (Cel) Franzluebbers of Beemer and Tony (Connie) Franzluebbers of Dodge; sisters, Bernie (Mel) Kampschneider of Columbus and sister-in-law Janet Franzluebbers of West Point. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters Marie Moser and Mary Ann Franzluebbers, brother Emil Franzluebbers and grandaughter Jenna Ulrich.
