George B. Reznicek, 87, of Dodge, died Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at Fremont Area Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am. Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge with Reverend Patrick McLaughlin as Celebrant. A 3:00 pm. Rosary will be recited and public Wake Services at 7:00 pm. Tuesday, both at St. Wenceslaus. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 am. until 8:00 pm. Tuesday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge. George was born August 4, 1920 on the family farm south of Dodge in Dodge County to Andrew and Emma Pavel Reznicek. He attended schools at St. Wenceslaus Catholic School. He farmed with his father and brothers. On March 2, 1943 he married Lillian Fendrick at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Wilson. The couple continued to farm the home place, retiring into Dodge in 1981. In his retirement, George cared for his lawn and garden and was especially fond of his roses. He loved his family very much. George was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and Holy Name Society. Survivors include his wife, Lillian, of Dodge, daughter Phyllis (Marland) Novacek of Linwood, LaVonne (James) Novak Dlouhy of Clarkson, Donna (Billy) Leonard of Broken Arrow, OK, Pauline (Eric Hindman) Reznicek of Cyprus, and Sandra (Bill) Sautter of Sioux City, IA, sister Anna Kempf of Graettinger, IA, Sister in law Wylma Reznicek of Dodge, grandchildren, Ann (Pat) Benes, Jim (Connie) Novacek, Karen (Marion) Freudenburg, David (Theresa) Novak Dean (Brenda) Novak, Colleen Novak, Keith Novak (fiancee’ Tonia Soukup), Michelle (Curtis0 Cummings, John (Tammy) Leonard, Mike (Lynn) Leonard, Becca Sautter, Nathan (Joy) Sautter, and Matthew Sautter, 5 step grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 12 step great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Lillian Dvorak, Agnes Cech, infant sister Magdalene, brothers Jim, Ed, Emil, Adolph, Frank, and Ernest
