Gale Bliemeister, 79, of Hemet, California, died October 17, 2006 at the Hemet Valley Health Care Center in Hemet, California. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Reverend Frank Lordemann as celebrant. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Friday at Stokely Funeral Home. Those wishing to sign the register may do so 9:00 am. until 8:00 pm. Friday at Stokely Funeral Home or leave on line condolences at www.stokelyfuneralhome.com. Gale was born on February 14, 1927 at Loretto, Nebraska to William and Josephine Meier Bliemeister. He attended Rural School District #40 through the 8th grade. In 1944 he moved with his family to a farm east of West Point where he helped his dad farm and also worked at Kerkow& Ickman Garage. In 1967, after his parents retired to town, Gale moved to California where he worked as a mechanic at a GM dealership in Van Nuys. He returned to West Point in 1974 to help care for his parents and to work at Bliemeister Auto Repair. In 1984 he returned to California where he worked at a GM dealership in Hemet until his retirement. Gale was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Hemet where a memorial service is also being held. Gale’s nieces and nephews were a big part of his life. He also enjoyed listening to Country & Western music and playing cards, especially 31. Survivors include sisters Esther Jenson of Yuba City, CA, and Darlene (Fritz) Wortman of West Point, brothers Conrad (Mary Ann) Bliemeister of Hooper and Bill (Liz) Bliemeister of Fountain Hills, AZ, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Harold in 2001, two nieces, a nephew and 2 great nephews.
