Franklin Delano Rose was born January 7, 1935, at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha, NE to Bert Sr. and Lillian (Novak) Rose. Frank was baptized and confirmed at Bethany Lutheran Church in Omaha by Pastor Behnken. He graduated from Omaha North High School in 1952. Even as a young child, Frank dreamed of driving a “big rig.” For nearly 60 years, he turned that dream into a reality, navigating the open roads with skill and professionalism.

Frank was married to the love of his life for 59 years. He married Arla Mae Benne on February 12, 1965 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Omaha. They made their home in Omaha where they enjoyed their two sons, Rodney and Jeffrey before moving to Wakefield in 1982. Frank was a devoted father, a cherished grandfather, and a beloved great-grandfather. His warmth, wisdom, and unwavering support were constants in the lives of his family. He was a member of the Wakefield Christian Church.

Frank was known by all for his kind heart, easy going nature and gentle spirit. He received great joy from watching his grandkids in their various activities.

Survivors include his wife, Arla Mae; sons, Rodney of Omaha, and Jeffrey (Julie) of Wakefield; grandchildren, David (Gina) Rose, Kelly (James) Nelson, Drew (Des) Rose, Trever (Kerry) Rose, Sydney (Tegan) Nissen; and great-grandchildren, Makayla, Kassidie, Tyson, Leilani, Kaleb, Hallie, Grant, Walker, Baker, Tessa, and Warren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James and Bert, Jr.; and daughter-in-law, Nancy Rose.
