Chris and I both have many fond memories of Bud; some of them of us enjoying a Friday evening beer, others of him at church events, but my favorite memory is that he sent me a rosary when I joined the Catholic church. That was so very thoughtful and welcoming. He was a very fun and sweet man. Please accept our sympathy in your loss.

Uncle Bud was an incredible uncle. I loved hearing the stories he would tell us when we were children about him and grandpa (James Shaw II) serving together in the Marines. Jennifer, Christen, and I were so lucky to have the best Grandma(Dolores Shaw)ever!! We will all miss Uncle Bud dearly. Jennifer, Ben and I send out thoughts and prayers to the entire Mahlberg family.

We send our sympathy to the Mahlberg family. We especially remember his sense of humor and fun-loving smile. Who could forget all of the wedding and special event meals he and the rest of the "gang" served! It was hard work, but they made it fun for everyone involved. He leaves behind such great memories for all.

First of all my thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Bud was such a great man and will be missed. I was lucky to have met him and his wife in the Bernard days. He always had a smile on his face and a new joke ready to tell. He touched alot of peoples lives and will never be forgotten.

I have so many memories of your dad. I loved when he would come into The Zone. He always had such a quick wit about him. When he was there everyone patted him on the back and said hi. We would tease each other back and forth all night. I loved playing dice and cards with him and when Carol and him came to the bar he would always was so proud when she came to West Point. I will miss him, but know that he is good hands. May he rest in peace.

Mary and family -- My sincere sympathy and prayers. It has been many years since I have seen you and your dad, but I have fond memories of spending so many times visiting at your home with your mom and dad and you and the family when we were growing up. It was always nice when Bud would ask if I would like to have supper with all of you!! Some very wonderful memories!
