Ervin Heimann, 72, of Snyder passed away Wednesday February 13, 2013 at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point. Funeral Mass is 10:30am Monday at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Snyder with Reverend Don Cleary as celebrant. Burial at St. Leo’s Catholic Cemetery. Christian Wake Services will be held 7:00pm Sunday at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Snyder. Visitation 3:00-7:00pm Sunday at the church. Stokely Funeral Home in West Point is in charge of arrangements. He was born in West Point on October 8, 1940 to Victor and Emma (Wiesen) Heimann. Ervin married Arlene Sellhorston May 12, 1962. Erv was employed withDanko and Smeal Fire Apparatus Company both of Snyder, NE for over 26 years. He retired from Smeal*s in 2011. Ervin was a lifetime member of St. Leo*s Catholic Church and a member of the Snyder Rural Fire District Board. He loved to play cards with family and friends and was an avid Husker fan. Erv enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs andGreen Bay Packers. He also loved to listen to polka music. He is survived by his wife, Arlene, of 50 years, his mother Emma of Dodge, NE; his four children; Lori (LeVoil) Crump of Wylie, TX, Larry (Sonya) Heimann of Chandler, AZ, Patty Sutton of Gretna, NE and Jeff (Michelle) Heimann of Frisco, TX; three sisters; MaryAnn Wordekemper of Omaha, NE, Lorraine (Gilbert) Ortmeier of Dodge, NE and Virgene Retzlaff of Lake of the Hills, IL. He has 5 grandchildren, Emma Crump, Jordan and Taylor Heimann , Jaclyn and Madison Sutton. He is preceded in death by his father, Victor Heimann and brother-in-law Tom Wordekemper.
