Emma H. Schmader, 94 of West Point died February 19, 2007 at the West Point Living Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am. Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Reverend Frank Lordemann as celebrant. An afternoon Rosary will be recited at 1:30 Wednesday and Public Wake Services will be 7:00 pm. Wednesday both at Stokely Funeral Home. Visitation at St. Joe’s will be 8:00 am. until 8:30 am. and continue at the funeral home, 9:00 am. until 8:00 pm. Wednesday. Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Guardian Angels Endowment. Those wishing to leave on line condolences may do so at www.stokelyfuneralhome.com. Emma was born December 28, 1912 at West Point to Walter and Hanna Weichman Reimers. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church and attended District 15 country school. On January 14, 1933 she married John Schmader at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The couple resided in West Point where Emma was a homemaker. She moved to St. Joseph’s Retirement Community in 2000, then to the Living Center in December of 2006. Survivors include sons Harold (Jeanette) and Larry both of West Point, Dennis (Helen) of Medford, Oregon and Randy (Peggy) of Tyler Texas, brothers Julius and Louis (Dorothy) Reimers of West Point and Harvey of Beemer, sister in law Darlene Reimers of West Point, 22 grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, daughter Phyllis Hultquist, son in law Leonard Hultquist, daughter in law Joan Schmader, sisters Lillian Beutler and Margaret Knuppel and brother Wallace Reimers.
