Eileen Eva Bose, 91, of Fremont, formerly of Snyder, died Monday, October 15, 2012 in Nye Pointe Health and Rehab in Fremont, NE. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Friday, October 19, 2012 at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Snyder. Burial will follow at St. Leo’s Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 pm to 8 pm Thursday with Public Wake service at 7 pm Thursday all at St. Leo’s Catholic Church. Stokely Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be directed to American Cancer Society Relay For Life. Eileen Eva Bose was born September 13, 1921 northwest of Snyder in Dodge County to Lawrence and Ethel (Patchen) Smeal. She grew up on the family farm and was a 1939 graduate of Snyder High School. In 1941, Eileen married Raymond Renter. The couple ran Ray Renter Transportation until Ray’s death on March 16, 1960. In 1961, Eileen earned her degree in cosmetology from Fremont Beauty School. On September 1, 1965, she married Anton Bose and the couple made their home in Snyder where Eileen operated Eileen’s Beauty Shop, retiring in 1990. The couple moved to Arbor Manor in Fremont in 2008. She was a lifetime member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Guild, Christian Mothers, VFW Auxiliary, and Snyder Extension Club. She enjoyed quilting, crafting, baking and caring for her family. She is survived by sons, Byron (Lois) Renter of Snyder, LaVern (Rosemary) Renter of San Antonio, TX, and Stephen (Carol) Renter of Fremont, NE; daughters, LaDonna (Jim) Scheppers of Longmont, CO, LaMaar (Leonard) Scheppers of Gering, NE and LaZelle (Kenneth Dolezal) Hunke of North Bend, NE; 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Arlene Smeal of Dodge, Ardith Smeal of Snyder and Loretta Smeal of Snyder. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond in 1960; husband, Anton in 2008; brothers, Raymond, Don and Bill; and granddaughter Kimberly Renter in 1973.
