Edna Marie Maas, 86, of West Point died June 16, 2005 at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha. Services will be 10:30 am. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church, Rural Bancroft, with Reverend Jeff Warner officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday11:00 until 8:30 pm. with family receiving friends 2:00 pm. until to 4:00 pm. Those wishing to leave online condolences may do so at www.stokelyfuneralhome.com. Edna was born March 10, 1919 at Perham, Minnesota to Herman and Anna Schlueter Rink. She grew up on the farm at Pender attending country school and graduating from Pender High School in1937. She attended Wayne State College graduating in 1940, and taught country school in Cuming County near Pender, Pender Elementary, Zion Lutheran and St. Paul Lutheran in West Point. On June 1, 1943 she married Clarence Maas at her parent’s home near Pender. The couple farmed north of West Point until retiring to West Point in 1985. Edna was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Guild. She was an artist who belonged to various Art and Garden Clubs. She enjoyed working as a 4-H leader. She loved watching her flowers grow. Survivors include her husband Clarence, of West Point, daughter Marilyn (Dennis) Kimbrough of Geneva, son Larry (Korri) Of Bancroft, sisters Martha (Clayton) Christensen of Storm Lake, Iowa, and Esther (Lloyd) Sage of Ogden, Utah, brothers Richard (Phyllis Rink of Huron, South Dakota, and Harold (Marilyn) Rink of Pender, grandchildren David (Julie) Kimbrough, Tony Kimbrough, Tyler, Tim and Aaron Maas, great grandchild Mollie Kimbrough. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister Helen Christensen.
