Douglas S. Schroedter, 51, of West Point died Thursday, April 13, 2023 at his home. Memorial services will be at 10:30am on Wednesday, April 19 at Trinity Church in West Point with Rev. Priscilla Hukki officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Trinity Church. Arrangements by Stokely Funeral Home.
Douglas Steven Schroedter was born May 4, 1971 in West Point, NE to Bill and Barbara (Nielsen) Schroedter. He graduated from West Point Public Schools in 1990 and continued his education at Southeast Community College where he received an Associate Degree in Parts Distribution and Management Technology. Doug returned to West Point to work in the Parts Department of Paus Motor Company and for the subsequent owners. On June 12, 1999 Doug was united in marriage to Nancy Ray. The couple remained in West Point. Doug was currently employed as Service Manager and he assisted with the Parts Department of West Point Implement.
Doug enjoyed time camping, boating, and snowmobiling with his family and friends. He loved being outdoors and was an avid enthusiast of off roading in his side by side. He lived life to the fullest and shared his enthusiasm of having fun with his family, friends, and especially his nieces and nephews. He was a member of Trinity Church. He had served on the West Point Volunteer Fire Department and had volunteered his services of snow removal for Trinity Church. He was a member of the Friends of Baron Companion Animal Foundation.
