Delores Meyer, 91 of West Point died Saturday August 14, 2010 at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point. Funeral services will be 10:30 am. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church with Reverend Christian Meier officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:00 am. until 8:00 pm. Tuesday with family receiving friends 6:00 until 8:00 pm. at Stokely Funeral Home in West Point. Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church. Delores was born on July 30, 1919 at West Point to Alfred and Mayme Benne Pagels. She graduated from West Point High School in 1936. Before her marriage, Delores worked at the Farmers Coop Grocery store. On April 10, 1940 Delores married Walter Meyer at Grace Lutheran Church. The couple farmed 3 miles south of West Point until they retired to West Point in 1978. Delores was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church and a member of the Ladies Aide. Delores enjoyed her family, gardening and hand work. Delores was an avid baseball fan, she and her husband followed the St. Louis Cardinals on the radio and later she followed the Kansas City Royals on television. Survivors include sons Burnell (Eileen) of Rockville, MD, Duane (Deb) of West Point, Gregg (Terri) of Imperial, NE, Gary (Stephanie) of Broken Bow, NE, son-in-law Stan Pearson of Loveland, CO, grandchildren Jessica Kuhn, Chris Meyer, Holly Bernache, Hans Meyer, Halee Meyer, Jonathan Meyer, Ashley Meyer, Bryan Meyer, great grandchildren Mylah Kuhn, Arabella and Eliza Bernache, brother Loren (Norma) Pagels of West Point, sister Elveria (Butch) Thietje of West Point. Preceded in death by her husband Walter, daughter Kathleen Pearson in 2007 and grandchildren Gina Pearson and Roger Pearson.
