David Francis Klitz, 53, of Dodge, died May 10, 2006, at Alegent Health Memorial Hospital in Schuyler. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am. Friday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge with Reverend Dennis DeGuzman as celebrant. Public Wake Services will be 7:30 pm. Thursday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 pm. until 8:00 pm. Thursday at the Church. Memorials may be made to St. Wenceslaus Catholic School Endowment or to the Carson Cancer Center in Norfolk. Those wishing to leave on line condolences may do so at www.stokelyfuneralhome.com. David was born June 12, 1952 at West Point to John A. and Anna Marie Kreikemeier Klitz. He lived his life on the family farm south west of Dodge. He attended St. Wenceslaus Catholic School and graduated from Dodge high School with the class of 1971. On September 1, 1973, he married Anita Ritzdorf at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church at Howells. The couple farmed south west of Dodge. David drove truck for Verings Feed Service in Howells and for Howells Fab. He was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church where he had served on the Parish Council and he served twenty years on the Dodge Bus Board. Dave enjoyed his bowling league and sports, but his passion was his farm life and his family. Survivors include his wife, Anita, of Dodge, daughters, Brenda (Russell) Hunke of Dodge, Deanne Klitz of Lincoln, Susan (Andy) Roberts of Polk Gail (fianc Brad Hochstein) of Crete and Jeanette at home, son Patrick (Lori) of Columbus, his mother Anna Marie Klitz of Dodge, sister Rita (Tom) Engelhaupt of Pierce, brothers Donald (Doris) of Omaha and Richard of Dodge, grandchildren Grace and Jake Hunke and Jackson Roberts. He is preceded in death by his father.
