Darlene M. Uher, age 68 of Dodge passed away Sunday, June 18, 2006 at Nye Pointe Health & Rehab in Fremont, NE. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am. Wednesday, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge with Reverend Paul Ortmeier as celebrant. Public Wake Service will be 7:30 pm. Tuesday at St. Wenceslaus. Burial will be at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, rural Dodge. Memorials may be made to St. Wenceslaus Cemetery or St. Wenceslaus Catholic School Endowment. Visitation will be 3:00 pm. until 8:00 pm. Tuesday at the Church and one hour prior to service on Wednesday at the church. Family will receive friends from 6:00 pm. until wake service. She was born on June 6, 1938 in rural Dodge to Conrad and Mary (Knust) Kluthe. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic School, Olean and graduated from Dodge Public School in 1956. She married Richard “Chink” Uher on May 31, 1956 at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Dodge. After marriage they farmed south of Dodge. She worked at Parkview Home in laundry since 1982. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and making trips across the river. Richard died June 25, 2004. Survivors include her sons Dale (Karen) Uher of Omaha, Ronald Uher of Coral Springs, FL, Randy Uher of Dodge (Special friend Tammi Poland) and Paul (Theresa) Uher of Dodge; daughters Mary Kay (Melvin) Kreikemeier of West Point and Barb (Dave) Wordekemper of Fremont; 14 grandchildren; sisters Wilma Ebbers of Hector, MN and Lorraine (Glen) reeson of West Point. She is preceded in death by her husband, three brothers Irvin, Vernon and Daniel Kluthe and one sister Betty Dau.
