Dale Rex Bunn, 78, of Dodge, died Monday, April 16, 2007 at Fremont Area Medical Center in Fremont. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am. Friday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge with Reverend Roland Peschel as celebrant. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Public Wake Services will be 7:30 pm. Thursday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. Visitation will be 1:00 until 8:00 Thursday at the church. Family will be receiving friends starting at 6:00 Thursday at the Church. Memorials may be made to St. Wenceslaus Church or Cemetery, or Dodge Fire and Rescue. Those wishing to leave online condolences may do so at www.stokelyfuneralhome.com. Dale was born September 12, 1928 on the farm in Dodge County south east of Dodge to Rex and Anna Filz Bunn and attended country school. On August 26, 1958 he married Rose Ridder at St. Wenceslaus in Dodge. The couple farmed the home place until moving into Dodge in 1982. There, Dale gradually retired from farming. Dale was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Catholic Order of Foresters. He enjoyed farming, fishing, and gardening. He loved his grandchildren and following their activities. Survivors include daughters Betty (Bob) Ellis of Vista, CA, Barbara (Chuck) Dye of Fremont, Debbie (Randy) Sueper of Lindsey, sons Bernard (Lori) of Scribner, Charles “Chuck” of Dodge, and Michael (Hope) of North Bend, sister Ardis Shadda of Fremont, brother Harold Bunn of West Point, grandchildren Lacey and April Bunn, Justin and Jonathan Dye, Ross, Jerett, Jacob, Kayla, and Preston Sueper, Danielle Ellis and Paige Bunn. He is preceded in death by his wife, Rose, in October of 1999, parents, sister Irene Goebel and brother Harry Bunn.
