Clinton Terkildsen, 65, of Scribner, died Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the Omaha VA Medical Center. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 30 at 10:30am at St. John’s Lutheran Church on the Cuming County line with Vicar Bob Ball as officiant. Burial with Military Honors will be at St. John’s Cemetery with lunch following at the church hall. Visitation will be Monday from 12:00pm to 8:00pm with family receiving friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Stokely Funeral Home. A memorial has been established. Arrangements by Stokely Funeral Home. Clinton Gilmore Terkildsen was born on December 3, 1952 to Gilmore and Bernita (Drieling) Terkildsen in West Point. He attended District 50 School and graduated from Scribner High School in 1971. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1971 and was stationed in Vietnam. On November 22, 1975, Clinton married Claudia Schultz at St. John’s Lutheran Church. The couple farmed on the county line north of Scribner. Clinton had variety of jobs beginning with construction in his early years, then Valmont, and finally with the Nebraska Department of Roads. One of his favorite pastimes was attending auctions. He became an auctioneer and was known to have a great sense of what each item would bring at an auction. Clinton is survived by his wife, Claudia of Scribner; sons, Michael and David (Kari Wagner) both of Scribner; and aunt, Marion Lutthans of Scribner. He is preceded in death by his parents.
