Clifford W. Kuester, 82, of West Point, died Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. Visitation will be Thursday, May 31, 2012 from 3-6 pm. at Stokely Funeral Home in West Point. Burial, with Military Honors, will be Friday, June 1, 2012 at 2:30 pm. at Fort McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell, NE. Clifford Warren Kuester was born August 21, 1929 in rural West Point, NE to Chris Henry and Amanda Bertha (Wegner) Kuester. He attended district 12, 64, 18 and 48 country schools. He served four years in the US Air Force and four years Reserve where he was stationed in Europe. After the service, he farmed with his dad and his brother, Delbert, until his retirement to West Point in 1994. He was a member of the American Legion and Disabled American Vets. Clifford is survived by brother, Robert (Patricia) Kuester of Lompoc, CA, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Delbert, sisters Elaine Kuester, Maxine Hendrickson and Dorothy (Wendell) Heil.
