Clara Sophie Throener, 92, formerly of Dodge, died Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at West Point Living Center in West Point. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am. Saturday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church with Reverend Patrick McLaughlin as celebrant. Christian Mothers Rosary will be 3:00 pm. Friday at Stokely Funeral Home in Dodge and public Wake Services will be 7:00 pm. Friday at Stokely Funeral Home in Dodge. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 pm. until 8:00 pm. at Stokely Funeral Home in Dodge. Those wishing to leave on line condolences may do so at www.stokelyfuneralhome.com. Clara was born November 16, 1915 at Souk Center, MN to Joseph and Kristina Stieren Krienert. She moved as a young girl to Osmond, NE, where she grew up and attended St. Mary’s Catholic School. On February 10, 1942 she married Charles Throener at St. Mary’s Church in Osmond. The couple farmed near Osmond until 1949 when they moved to the farm near Dodge. They retired to St. Joseph’s retirement Community in West Point in 2002. Clara was a member of St. Wencelaus Catholic Church and Christian Mothers. She enjoyed her gardening. Survivors include daughters; Sr. Patricia Throener of Petersburg and Mary (Larry) Auen of Sioux City, IA, sons; Joseph (Connie) of Norfolk and Charles, Jr. (Carolyn) of Dodge, grandchildren ; thomas Auen, Regina Neuhalfen, Valerie Adams, Brian, Melanie and Michael Throener, great grandchildren; Madison and Cole Neuhalfen, Carter and Ashlynn Throener, abigail and AnnaAdams, and Olivia Throener, sisters; Helen Hetrick of Milford, IA and Loretta Krienert of Somanauk, IL, brothers; Joseph Krienert of Earlville, IL, Norbert Krienert of Osmond and Adolph (Margaret) ofSnyder. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles, Sr. in December of 2005, grandson Paul Throenrt, sisters; Sister Lauriana Krienert and Marie Throener and brother Vincent Krienert.
