Carol Ann Brester, 57, of Dodge, died January 27, 2007 at Lakeside Hospital in Omaha. Public Wake Services will be 7:00 pm. Tuesday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge with Reverend Franklin Dvorak officiating. There will be a 3:00 pm. Tuesday Christian Mothers Rosary at the church. Private family funeral mass will be held with burial at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery. Visitation will be noon until 8:00 pm. Tuesday at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge. Memorials may be made to Dodge Rescue or St. Wenceslaus Altar Society. Those wishing to leave on line condolences may do so at www.stokelyfuneralhome.com. Carol was born May 21, 1949 at Fremont to Joseph and Marie Koehler Vacha. She grew up on the farm and attended country school dist. 36 east of Scribner, and Scribner High School. She was a 1967 graduate of Notre Dame Academy in Omaha. She worked at the Valley View Country Club in Fremont before marrying David Brester, September 11, 1971, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Scribner. The couple lived in Dodge where Carol was a homemaker until they purchased the Merry Martini Lounge in 1993. Carol was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Alter Society and Christian Mothers. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and baking. Survivors include her husband, Dave, of Dodge, daughters Rhonda Brester of Omaha and Renee (Chad) Bayer of Howells, brothers Michael (Cheryl) Vacha of Hooper and Roger (Carol) Vacha of Scribner, mother in law Milada Brester of Dodge and 3 granddaughters Chelsea, Courtney and Carly Bayer all of Howells. She is preceded in death by her parents.
