Brian J. Steffensmeier, 40, of West Point, died November 30, 2007 at West Point Living Center. Memorial Mass will be 10:30 am. Friday, Decemeber 14, 2007 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Reverend Frank Lordemann as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery. Vigil services will be 6:30 pm. Thursday December 13, 2007 at Stokely Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to AA or to St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Those wishing to sign the register may do so 9:00 am. Until 8:00 pm. Thursday, December 13, 2007 at the funeral home or on line at www.stokelyfuneralhome.com. Brian Joseph Steffensmeier was born December 14, 1966 at West Point to Herman and Bernice Buse Steffensmeier. Brian grew up in West Point and was a1986 West Point Public High School graduate. Brian followed in his family tradition of working as a truck driver, working for Steffensmeier Trucking, Crete Carrier and Zitner Trucking, Bellar Trucking. Brian worked until his health would no longer allow. Brian was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing the guitar and fishing at the Ike’s. Survivors include his mother, Bernice, sisters Carol Steffensmeier of Minneapolis, MN, Susan (Randy) Mejstrik of Omaha, and Sharon Braun of Wayne, brothers David (Joan), Larry (Debbie) and Mark Steffensmeier all of West Point, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father.
