Beth Ready, 11, of Scribner, died Saturday, April 14, 2007 as a result of an automobile accident. Funeral services will be 10:30 am. Wednesday at St. John Ridgeley Lutheran Church south of Scribner with Reverend Nikki McIntyre officiating. Burial will be at the Scribner Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Dodge County 4-H Foundation, Immanuel Lutheran School or St. John’s Ridgeley Sunday School. Visitation will be 3:00 pm. until 8:00 pm. Beth was born January 16, 1996 at Fremont, NE to Sidney and Ruth Witte Ready and was baptized at United Church of Christ at Scribner. She was an active 5th grader at Immanuel Lutheran School. Beth was some what of a tom boy, was an avid reader and enjoyed penguins. Beth was a member of St. John’s Ridgeley Lutheran Church and was active in 4-H, Girl Scouts and loved swimming. Survivors include parents, Sid and Ruth Ready, of Scribner, sisters Carol and Anna, brothers Steven and Glen all at home, grandparents Arland Witte of Scribner and Ralph and Delores Ready of Merna, great grandmother TheresaNachtman of Grand Junction, CO and a great great aunt Monica Fleischman of Broken Bow, several aunts, uncles and cousins. They are preceded in death by grandmother, Dorothy Witte, and great grandparents.
