Bert A. Large, Sr., 86, formerly of West Point, died Monday, February 16, 2026 at Colonial Haven in Beemer, NE.  Graveside services will be 10:00am on Saturday, February 21 at Pioneer Cemetery, rural Cuming County.  Visitation will be Friday, February 20 from 5:00-8:00pm at Stokely Funeral Home in West Point.  Memorials may be designated to the Alzheimer’s Association.  Stokely Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Bert Allen Large, Sr. was born in Muskogee, OK on April 26, 1939 to Robert and Stella Pauline (Wallace) Large.  Bert graduated from Muskogee High School and continued his education throughout life at the “School of Hard Knocks”.  He was united in marriage to Barbara Crawford on October 21, 1961 in Miami, OK.  The couple was blessed with a son and two daughters.  Bert worked hard for many years as a Dairy Herdsman.  He moved with his family throughout the Midwest, working at various dairy farms.  In 1992, his work brought the family to West Point where he was employed by a local dairy farmer.  Bert and Barbara went on to live in other locations before his retirement in 2000.  They later returned to West Point to be near family.

Bert was a huge fan of the Oklahoma Sooners football and softball teams as well as Dodgers baseball.  He watched and listened to every game he could and loved cheering on his favorites.

Bert is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Bert Jr. (Melissa) of Kingston, TX; daughters, Michelle Long of Chanute, KS and Sandy (Mark) Luebbert of West Point; grandchildren, Kammillia, Kendrick and Braydon (Claire) Luebbert, Aundrea and Justin (Sammi) Long; great-grandchildren, Ariella and Barrett Andrade, Charlie, Callie and Christian Stikney, Roger Long, Luke and Aelish Grieves; brothers Robert (Carol) Large, Benne Large; sister Juanita Large

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carol Crawford.
