Arden Leimer, 66, of rural Beemer, died Monday, April 18, 2022 as the result of a motor vehicle accident.  Funeral services will be 10:30am on Saturday, April 23 at Zion Lutheran Church rural Bancroft with Reverend Mike Belinsky as officiant.  Lunch will be at the school hall following services.  Burial will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery at a later date.  Visitation with family present will be Friday, April 22 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Stokely Funeral Home in West Point.  Memorials may be made to the family for future designation.  Arrangements by Stokely Funeral Home.

Arden Rae Leimer was born on September 8, 1955 to Reinhard “RC” and Clara (Hoffman) Leimer in West Point.  He attended Zion Lutheran School and graduated from West Point Public High School in 1973.  His interest in cars led him to trade school where he completed training as a mechanic.  In May of 1977, Arden married Diane Guyott in Omaha.   The couple lived in Omaha where Arden worked as a mechanic at Beardmore Chevrolet and Dundee Station.  In 1989 they moved to the family farm in rural Beemer.  Arden worked a variety of jobs over the years starting with Stan Ortmeier & Co., IBP, Tyson, Smeal Manufacturing and Hunke Manufacturing, where he was currently employed.

Arden loved spending time with the grandkids and working on cars in his garage.  The grandkids learned valuable lessons about car maintenance and repair from their Grandpa as he enjoyed sharing his knowledge and skill as a mechanic.  Arden was a patient, generous man who loved animals and spending time outdoors.

Survivors include his daughters, Jennifer (Kevin) Hansen and Gayle (Tim Pritchett) Laturno both of Beemer; grandchildren, Riley Wolfe, Michael Laturno and Brooklyn Laturno; and step-grandchildren Cody, Tazia, Angel and Dawson Pritchett.  Arden was preceded in death by his parents, wife Diane, and infant son, Glen.
