Amber Ernesti, 19, of West Point died Wednesday July 10, 2013 in a one vehicle automobile accident near Wayne. Funeral Mass will be 9:30am Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, West Point, with Reverend Frank Lordemann as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery in Aloys. Following gravesite committal, lunch will be at St. Paul Lutheran Church, West Point. Rosary will be 6:00pm Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be noon until 4:00pm Friday at Stokely Funeral Home and continue at the church until the wake service. Memorials are suggested to Amber Ernesti Scholarship Fund. Amber Lynn Ernesti was born September 22, 1993 in Norfolk to Ronnie and Linda (Novak) Ernesti. Amber graduated from West Point-Beemer High School in 2012 and was currently attending Wayne State College, majoring in Elementary Special Education. Amber was active in sports, musicals, FFA, 4-H, St. Mary’s CCD, and dancing. She received a state degree for FFA, served as a Teacher’s Aide, volunteered as a mentor in the Big Brothers and Sisters program, and was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church. Amber formerly worked at Pizza Hut in Wisner and Pronto Convenience Store in Beemer, and she was currently employed at Rainbow World Day Care in Wayne. Survivors include her parents Ronnie and Linda Ernesti of West Point; brothers Adam (Kelsey) Ernesti of West Point and Jacob (Jordan McKay) Ernesti of Beemer; sisters Crystal (Chad) Marksmeier of West Point and Amy (Russ) Prusa of Clarkson; grandmother Rose Marie Novak of Howells; special friend Dexter Von Essen of Oakland; uncles Mark Ernesti of West Point and Joe (Wendy) Novak of Clarkson; aunts Janice Ernesti of West Point, Lori (Gary) Pickhinke of Howells, and Linette (Keith) Brester of Howells; nephews and nieces Ethan and Braxton Prusa, Kayliegh, McKenzie, and Addison Marksmeier, and Owen Ernesti. Amber is preceded in death by grandparents Ben and Rhyneldis Ernesti and Marvin Novak. Stokely Funeral Home, West Point, in charge of arrangements.
