Alice Leona Scholl, 96, of West Point died March 2, 2007 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings. Services will be 11:00 am. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church in West Point with Reverend Don Olson officiating. Burial will be at the Lyons Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:00 am. until 8:00 pm. Tuesday at Stokely Funeral Home with family present 6:00 pm. until 7:30 pm. Eastern Star Rites will be conducted 7:30 Tuesday at Stokely Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church in lieu of flowers. Those wishing to leave on line condolences may do so at www.stokelyfuneralhome.com.Alice was born September 2, 1910 at Persia, Iowa to Roy E. and Dorothea C. Dohrman Deupree. She was baptized October 10, 1910 at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Persia and was confirmed May 3, 1925 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Omaha. Alice graduated from Omaha Benson High School with the class of 1928. On May 12, 1937, she married Phillip Victor Scholl at Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church in Omaha. The couple moved to West Point from Omaha in 1947. Alice was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school and Bible school for a number of years. She was also a member of Grace Lutheran Church Women. Alice was 50 year member of Eastern Star and served as secretary for 24 years. She was an associate member of First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hastings. Survivors include sons Raymond (Sharon) of Hastings and Marvin of Lincoln, grandchildren Teresa Scholl-Hruza, Scott Scholl, Angela Schmohr, Melody Miller and Jennifer McLaughlin, and 13 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Victor, February 2, 1987, sister Thelma Johnson and brothers Carl and Merle Deupree.
