Agnes Clara Drueke, 101, of West Point, died October 15, 2004, at Colonial Haven Nursing Home in Beemer. Agnes was born January 21, 1903 on the farm north east of West Point in Cuming County to Carl and Regina Beyer Johnson. She attended country school and graduated from Guardian Angels School with the class of 1922. She attended Wayne State Teachers College and taught country school District #10. On August 25, 1926, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West Point, she married Frank H. Drueke. The couple farmed west of West Point. She retired into West Point in 1970, moving in to St. Joseph’s retirement Community in 1990 and finally to Colonial Haven in 1994. Agnes was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Guild, Catholic Daughters, and Christian Mothers. Survivors include sons Henry (Bernie) of West Point, and Dick (JoAnn) of Firth, grandchildren Tim, Brian (Juli), Jenn, and Mary Fran Drueke, and Teri (David) Chasten, great grandchildren Emily, Kate and Jon Drueke and Peter Chasten. She is preceded in death by her husband in August of 1964, a daughter Sister Agnes Ann Drueke, OSF, brothers Peter, Albert, Henry and Andrew, and sisters Ella Rief and Anna Johnson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Reverend Gerald Gonderinger as celebrant. Guild, Christian Mothers and Catholic Daughters Rosary will be 1:30 pm. Sunday with Public Wake Services 7:00 pm. both at Stokely Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Guardian Angels Endowment. Visitation will be 10:00 am. till 8:30 pm. Sunday at Stokely Funeral Home of West Point which is in charge of arrangements.
