Agnes Aschoff, 97, of West Point died Saturday October 30, 2010 at West Point Living Center. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Reverend Gerald Gonderinger as celebrant followed by burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Guild Rosary will be 1:30 pm. Tuesday and Wake services 7:00 pm. Tuesday both at Stokely Funeral Home. Visitation will be noon until 8:00 pm. Tuesday. Memorials may be made in her memory. Stokely Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Agnes was born March 14, 1913 at Neligh, to John and Josephine Rotter Beck. On June 3, 1936, Agnes married Henry Aschoff, Jr. The couple eventually settled on south Beemer Street in West Point. Agnes was primarily a homemaker, but worked for several years at Patterson Creamery. Agnes was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and Guild. She enjoyed camping and fishing and will be remembered for her homemade cinnamon rolls. Survivors include her daughters Rosella (Tom) Holley of Iva, SC, LaJean (Jim) Owen of Westminster, CO, Barbara (Gary) Anderson of Omaha and Elaine Throener of Beemer, son Jerry Aschoff of West Point, brother Leo Beck of White Lake, WI, 19 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry, Jr., in 1977, son in law Vincent Throener and siblings Amelia Van Ert, Caroline Kruz, Frank Beck, Gertrude Ernesti, John Beck, Clarence Beck, Carl Beck and Christie Beck.
