Adolph A. Krienert, 84, of Snyder, died Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Good Samaritan Care Center in Scribner. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 Saturday at St. Leo Catholic Church in Snyder with Reverend Don McCleary as celebrant. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Leo Cemetery. Vigil services will be 7:00 pm. Friday at St. Leo Catholic Church. Visitation will be 3:00 pm. until Vigil time, Friday at St. Leo Church. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Assoc. or Snyder Rescue. Adolph Arthur Krienert was born December 16, 1926, at Osmond to Joseph and Christina Stieren Krienert. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic School at Osmond and attended four years at Josephina Seminary in Ohio. Adolph served in the US Army from March of 1945 until October of 1946 and was stationed in Japan and the Philippines. On October 9, 1951 Adolph married Margaret Koester at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Wisner. The couple farmed in the Scribner Snyder area and retired into Snyder in 2001. Adolph was a member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church and sang in its’ choir. Survivors include his wife Margaret of Snyder, children, Dan of North Bend, Dave of Scribner, Laure (Stuart) Osten of Leigh, Tom (Kim) of Scribner, Tim (Kathy) of Fairmont, and Philip(Kristen) of West Point, sister Loretta Krienert of Somonauk, IL, brothers Norbert Krienert of Osmond and Joseph Krienert of Earlville, IL, 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by sisters Sr. Laurianna Krienert, Clara Throener, Marie Throener and Helen Hettrick, brother Vincent Krienert and a granddaughter Melissa Krienert.
