It brought tears to my eyes to see a television story about Aaron and all the wonderful things he did during his short time on earth. My heart aches for his parents, and all the family and friend that lost such a wonderful boy. I only hope that if I ever have a son, he will be an incredible child like Aaron. I can only hope that his parents take comfort in knowing what an amazing child they raised, and that he made the world a much better place during his all-too-brief life. Oscar and Carol, the family, friends, and fellow Boy Scouts of Aaron - You are all in our thoughts and prayers now and in the future. Our hope is that with love and support from one another you will all find the strength to get through this. We remember when Aaron was learning to ride his bike and you would ride past our house and still keep going even further. (We lived six blocks from you.) He must have been on his path of learning and adventure already then. Seems he stayed on that path and never did things in a small way. You can be very proud of all of his accomplishments, so BE VERY PROUD and STAY STRONG! Keep your memories close to your heart! Time does heal, though it may not seem that way now.

Bob, Carol, and Grandma Janice, im soooooo sorry to hear about Aaron. I was in his class back in grade school. He was such a nice boy and i just moved recently to Cedar Rapids from West Point and unforntunatly thats why i could not attend the memorial service. Im greatly sorry for your loss and wish it would of never happened. I know how big he was on boy scouts it was his whole life! I know he paid his dept to society more than anyone else. I know if he was only one of the boys that was injured he would have been the best scout a leader could have. I really am truely very sorry and want to let you know im thinking of him and all of you each and every day that goes past.
