Eileen Meyer, 91, of West Point died Friday July 5, 2013 at St. Francis Memorial Hospital. Services will be 10:30am Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Reverend Richard Bringewatt officiating. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00am to 8:00pm Sunday at Stokely Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran School. Eileen Andresen was born November 10, 1921 in West Point to Frederick and Alvina (Bossow) Andresen. Eileen was raised in West Point and attended St. Paul Lutheran School. On January 30, 1942, Eileen married Archer Saner in Fremont. Archer passed away in 1951. On October 16, 1955, Eileen married Arnold Meyer at St. Paul Lutheran Church, West Point. Eileen worked at Camps Cafe and the hospital prior to joining her husband in the operation of the local greenhouse. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, and her family. Eileen was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she was active in Ladies Aid and LWML. Activities at the Sunshine Center were a favorite pastime. Survivors include sons Terry (Ruth Ann) Saner of West Point and Larry Meyer of Stockton, CA; daughters Mary (Wayne) Brooks of Omaha and Shirley Jacobsen of Woodbridge, CA; grandchildren Tammy (Chris) Deeter, Beth Maria (Pete) Kenow, Michael (Gwen) Saner, David (Lisa) Brooks, Amy (JR) Ackerman, Todd Jacobsen, and Tim (Monica) Jacobsen; 18 great-grandchildren: Rachel Deeter, Alex Deeter, Nicholas Deeter, Emelia Deeter, Maria Deeter, Molly Kenow, Victoria Kenow, Terry Kenow, Erich Kenow, Samuel Saner, David Saner, John Ackerman, Madison Ackerman, Joshua Brooks, Noah Brooks, Conner Jacobsen, Tyler Jacobsen and Christopher Jacobsen; brother LeRoy (Sharon) Andresen of Wahoo; sister Viola Miller of West Point. Eileen is preceded in death by husband Archer Saner; husband Arnold Meyer in 1996; parents Frederick and Alvina Andresen; brothers Hans and Frederick; sisters Rose Grovijohn and Marie Kindschuh; and son Gail Meyer. Stokely Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
