Jean Ann “Jeanie” Kreikemeier, 58, of West Point died Tuesday, December 09, 2008 at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point. Memorial Mass will be 10:30 am. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West Point with Reverend Gerald Gonderinger as celebrant. Guild Rosary will be 1:30 pm. Thursday at Stokely Funeral Home and Wake services will be 7:00 pm. Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Inurnment will be at St. Michael’s cemetery. Memorial visitation will be 9:00 am. until 5:00 pm. Thursday at Stokely Funeral Home and continue until wake time at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Francis Memorial Hospital or to Guardian Angels endowment. Those wishing to leave on line condolences may do so at www.stokelyfuneralhome.com. Jeanie was born September 9, 1950 at West Point to Elmer and Lynelle (Fenske) Kindschuh. She attended West Point Public schools, graduating with the class of 1968. She was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church and later converted to Catholicism. She married Francis Kreikemeier, June 28, 1969 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Jeanie worked at Baines Clothing store until 1974 when she and Francis started farming and raising hogs full time. Most recently, Jeanie was employed at Bomgaars. Jeanie was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, guild, Cuming County Pork Producers, Nebraska Pork College and was a Hospice Volunteer. She was a past member of West Point Young Farmers. Jeanie enjoyed gardening, sewing, making crafts and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She will be loved and missed by daughters; Tina (Terry) Gentrup, Tami (Dan) Fischer all of West Point, Teri (Ben) Wortman of Bennington, son Todd (Heather) Kreikemeier of West Point, grandchildren; Callie, Nicholas, Tate, Tara, Zoey, Ian, and Alpine, brother Dave (Linda) Kindschuh of West Point, sister Margie Durtro of Norfolk, sister in law Alice Kindschuh of Omaha, many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Francis in 1998, her parents and brother Jerry Kindschuh. |
