Fred P. Hein, 89, of West Point died December 27, 2006 at Sun City Arizona. Services will be 10:30 am. Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in West Point with Reverend Dennis Maaske officiating. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery with Military Honors graveside. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran School. Visitation will be noon until 8:00 pm. Monday at Stokely Funeral Home. Those wishing to leave on line condolences may do so at www.stokelyfuneralhome.com. Fred was born August 23, 1917 in Cuming County to August and Rosa Piper Hein. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church. He graduated from West Point Public High School, attended Wayne State College and Lincoln School of Commerce. He served in the US Army for four and a half years. On July 6, 1941 he married Ruth Greenwald at Trinity Lutheran Church at Altona. Fred worked in the pest control business in Omaha before moving to the family farm in 1953. In 2001 he retired into West Point. Fred was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, Ruth, of West Point, daughter, Donna (Paul) Maier, of Cameron Park, California, son, Stan (Eufrasia “Dels”) Hein, of West Point, sisters Esther (Herb) Ketelsen of Kansas City, MO and Ruth Hendrickson of Peoria, AZ, 7 grandchildren, 2 nieces and 3 nephews. He is preceded in death his parents, infant son and infant bother. |
