Elaine A. Throener, 84, of West Point, died Sunday, May 12, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Hillside Villa in West Point. Memorial Service will be 6:00pm on Friday, May 17 at Stokely Funeral Home in West Point with Rev. James Weeder officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Stokely Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation. Elaine A. Throener was born on February 15, 1940 to Clem and Theresa (McShane) Beaupre in Faribault, MN. She attended and graduated from Bethlehem Academy in 1958. In her youth, Elaine was active in many activities including, band, choir, 4-H, National Honor Society and a reporter for the school newspaper. She continued her education in college and entered into the convent for 12 years. Upon her discharge, Elaine worked in Rice County, MN before meeting her future husband in Nebraska. She worked as an activities director and later as a CNA in area nursing homes. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts at the hospital. Elaine is survived by her children, Darin (Brenda) Throener of Dodge and Dawn (Michael) Will of Minnesota; grandchildren, Brody, Danica, and Nash Throener; sister, Agnes Delesha; brother, Edward (Barb) Beaupre; and sister-in-law, Margaret Beaupre. She is preceded in death by her brother, Donald Beaupre. |
