William “Bill” Lux, 60, of Fremont, died Sunday, May 23, 2021 at his home in Fremont.  Funeral Mass will be 10:30am on Friday, May 28 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fremont with Rev. Thomas Lux as celebrant.  Lunch will be at the church hall following the service.  Burial will be at 1:00pm at St. Michael’s Cemetery in West Point.  Visitation will be 3:00pm to 7:00pm with a Vigil Service at 7:00pm on Thursday at Stokely Funeral Home in West Point.  Family will be present at visitation from 6:00pm to 7:00pm.  Memorials may be made to North Star Services.  Arrangements by Stokely Funeral Home.

William James Lux was born on October 6, 1960 to James and Marie (Lauritsen) Lux in West Point.  Bill moved to Beatrice State Home at the age of 5 where he lived for 48 years.  He then moved to his home in Fremont.  Throughout his life Bill held several jobs, but his favorite ones involved cleaning or doing laundry.  Whenever Bill came back to West Point, he would love to spend the day with his dad – checking cows, getting coffee, or washing the pickup.  He was a very neat and tidy person with a love for the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Dallas Cowboys.  Bill greeted everyone with a smile.  He spread love and kindness throughout his world.

Survivors include siblings, Kathy Moore of Hooper, Shari Ruskamp of West Point, and Fr. Thomas Lux of Holdrege; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  Bill is preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Levi Moore; and great-nephew, Jude Ruskamp.
