Funeral Mass will be 10:30am on Thursday, July 11 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West Point. Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery with lunch following at the cafeteria. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00pm to 7:00pm with family present from 6:00pm to 7:00pm with a Vigil Service at 7:00pm at Stokely Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to GACC Capital Campaign. Theresa M. Luebbert was born on May 13, 1930 to Frank and Anna (Lintel) Drueke in West Point. She grew up on the family farm and attended Saint Anthony’s Catholic school to the eighth grade. On June 19, 1951, she married Casper Luebbert at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. The couple farmed northeast of West Point for many years where they also had livestock. Theresa moved to West Point in 1997.
Theresa was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Guild. One of her favorite activities was going to auctions.
Theresa is survived by her children, Allen (Ann) of West Point, Donna (Ervin) Renner of West Point, Norman of Eugene, OR, Michael of Carter Lake, IA, and Glenn (Victoria) of Nevis, MN; son-in-law, Marty Throener of West Point; 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Casper in 1975; daughter Elaine in 2017; infant son, Richard; and brothers, Joseph and Alois Drueke.
