Robert (Bob) Lee Miller, 54, of West Point, was peacefully gathered in Christ*s arms and taken to his heavenly home, Thursday, December 6, 2012. Funeral services will be 10:30 am. Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in West Point with Reverend Richard Bringewatt officiating. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be noon until 8:00 pm. Sunday with family receiving friends 4:00 to 6:00 pm. at Stokely Funeral which is in charge of arrangements. Bob was born to Robert and Bernice (Jacquot) Miller, June 9, 1958, in Broken Bow, Nebraska. He was baptized at St. Joseph*s Catholic Church, Broken Bow, and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church, Lincoln. He attended Broken Bow public schools, during which time he was an avid Boy Scout who achieved the honor of Eagle Scout status, and graduated in 1976 from Broken Bow High School. Bob married Ruth (Broekemeier) at St. Paul Lutheran Church, West Point, on September 8, 1984. Bob excelled in a 25-year career in aircraft interior refurbishment, filling sales, design, and management positions in Nebraska, Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. In 2003, he and his family settled in West Point, where he has resided and enjoyed the open road as a 48-state truck driver, most recently for Signor Enterprises of Norfolk. Bob*s varied interests included playing on a slow-pitch softball team, leading Cub Scout and Boy Scout troops, singing in church choirs, trout fishing, pheasant hunting, and serving in various church office and volunteer roles. Survivors include his wife Ruth and son Daniel (fiancee* Kristin Easler) of West Point; daughter Amanda (Joshua) Bermudez of New Haven, Connecticut; mother Bernice Miller and brother Larry (Adele) Miller of Broken Bow; sister Mary Jo Hendricks of Lincoln; father-in-law Gerhard Broekemeier of West Point; sisters-in-law Linda (James) Abraham of Saginaw, Michigan, and Jane (Gary) Tillman of Lincoln; brother-in-law Robert (Christina) Broekemeier of Springfield; and many cherished nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his father Robert Miller, mother-in-law Mae Broekemeier, andbrother-in-law Tom Hendricks. Memorials may be made to Camp Luther, Schuyler, Nebraska.
