Ramona Stalp, 81 of West Point died Monday in Arizona. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Reverend Gerald Gonderinger as celebrant. Burial at St. Michael’s Cemetery. Guild Rosary will be 1:30 pm. Friday and public wake services will be 7:00 pm. Friday both at Stokely Funeral Home in West Point. Visitation will be noon until 8:00 pm. Friday at Stokely Funeral. Memorials may be made to Guardian Angels Renovation Fund. Mona was born June 29, 1928 and was adopted as a 3 year old by Milton and Ferne Sexton Dill. She attended West Point Public School, graduating with the class of 1945 and received her nursing degree from College of St. Mary’s in Omaha. On November 20, 1954, Ramona married Henry Stalp at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West Point. The couple lived in Omaha where Mona worked as a nurse at Creighton Hospital. They returned to West Point in 1960 and Mona continued to work as a nurse at the local hospital. Ramona was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed all manner of crafting, especially Tole painting and ceramics. Mona played golf and bowled. She was famous for her homemade Toffee and enjoyed spending time inArizonam.ona is survived by her husband Henry Stalp of West Point, brother-in-law Ben Stalp of West Point, sisters-in-law Sally Lubker of West Point, Lucy Miller of Fort Worth, TX, Imelda Revel of San Rafael, CA and Mary Ann Kelly of Roswell, NM, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.
