Mildred Prinz, 89, of West Point, died Friday, September 18, 2015 at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point. Funeral Mass will be 10:30am Tuesday, September 22 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Reverend Steven Emanuel as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery. Lunch will follow at the Nielsen Center. Guild rosary will be at 1:30pm and wake service will be at 7:00pm with visitation from noon until 8:00pm Monday at Stokely Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph’s Retirement Community or St. Francis Memorial Hospital. Mildred Mary Prinz was born September 15, 1926 to Joseph and Elizabeth (Stratman) Uhing, on the family farm. She was a 1945 graduate of Guardian Angels High School and on November 23, 1948, married Leonard Prinz at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West Point. They farmed east of West Point for several years, moving into West Point in 1974. Mildred spend four years in Omaha to be near her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Guild. She enjoyed traveling, golfing, reading, needlepoint and playing bridge. Mildred is survived by daughters, Diane (Ken) McGill, Humphrey, NE, Nancy (Roger) Reese, Omaha; sons, Glen (Linda) Prinz, David (Joyce) Prinz, all of West Point; son-in-law, David McGill, Omaha; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, Leonard; daughter, Susan McGill; great-grandson; brothers, Lawrence, Raymond and Hilary Uhing; sisters, Eleanor Baumert and Irene Vogel.
