Linina Reiman, 83, of West Point, died Thursday, at West Point Living Center. Funeral Services will be 10:30 am. Monday at Grace Lutheran Church in West Point with Reverend Chris Meier officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be noon until 8:00 pm. Sunday with family receiving friends 3 pm. to 5 pm. At Stokely Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the church. Linina was born September 30, 1926 on the family farm south of West Point in Cuming County to Robert C. and Delilah Petz Diers. She attended West Point Public School and was a member of the Drum and Bugle Corp. In the early years, Linina worked in Omaha as a nurse’s aide, returning to West Point in 1959. Linina was married to Joe Reiman, they later divorced. She worked at Campbell’s Soup in Fremont, Wimmer’s in West Point and tended bar at Town Pump and Shorty’s. In the late sixties, Linina began work as a dredge operator for the local gravel pits. Following, she was employed at Quality Steaks in Snyder and Madison Pack in Madison. Before her retirement, Linina provided in home health care. Linina was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Eagles and VFW Auxiliary. She was a past member of the Isaac Walton League, serving as a State Director. Survivors include her son Kendall Diers of West Point, daughter Josephine Reiman of Papillion, sister Betty Jacobsen of Wisner , brother Robert D. (Jean) Diers of Lincoln, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by son Larry Reiman, parents, brothers Leland and Orville Diers, and step grandson Dustin Brown.
