Joyce Baumert passed away on April 27, 2021 at Premier Estates of Pierce in Pierce, Nebraska at the age of 81.  Funeral Services will be 10:00am on Friday, April 30 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in West Point.  Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery with lunch following at Neligh Park.  Visitation with family present will be Thursday from 5:00pm to 6:00pm at Stokely Funeral Home.  Arrangements by Stokely Funeral Home.

Joyce Ann Baumert, the daughter of Delbert & Viola (Andresen) Miller was born on May 16, 1939 in Bancroft, Nebraska. Joyce was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bancroft, and a member of St Paul Lutheran Church in West Point, NE and most recently a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Norfolk, NE, in which she was very strong within her faith.  She graduated high school at West Point Jr. Sr. High School. On April 7, 1962, she was united in marriage for 21 years to Lambert Baumert and to this union was born three sons, Michael, Kevin, & Ken, and one daughter, Deb.  Joyce had a very caring heart, and always had a helping hand for anyone she passed paths with lots of love, smiles, laughter, and would share any of her cooking or baking goods she enjoyed making.  She enjoyed visits from her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her siblings.  She was never ready for them to leave and wish they would stay forever.  The family would like to thank her recent caretakers.

Survivors include her children Michael Baumert, of Gretna, NE; Kevin & Kami Baumert of Linn Creek, MO; Ken Baumert of Beemer, NE; Deb & Steve Gathje of Pender, NE; 8 grandchildren Nicole Baumert (Pat), McKena (Carter) Ford, Macabe Baumert, Dylan (Nicole) Donner, Jynessa (Tanner) Sunderman, Josh Baumert, Zac Baumert & Cooper Gathje; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Joan Stine, Pearland, TX; and sisters-in-law, Betty Miller of Scribner and Genene Miller of West Point.  She is preceded in death by her parents,  Delbert & Viola Miller; and brothers, Al Miller and Larry Miller.
