Jason Stinson, 47, of West Point, died Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Franciscan Healthcare in West Point.   Memorial services will be 2:00pm on Saturday, January 30 at Stokely Funeral Home in West Point with Rev. Priscilla Hukki officiating.  The funeral will be live streamed on the Stokely Funeral Home Facebook page at facebook.com/stokelyfuneralhome.  Masks are recommended at the service and seating will be socially distanced by household.  A memorial has been established.  Arrangements by Stokely Funeral Home.

Jason Michael Stinson was born on October 29, 1973 to Michael and Helen (Mussman) Stinson in Lincoln.  He graduated from Lincoln High School and further his education at Southeast Community College where he studied technology.  On October 25, 1999, Jason married Karen Starkey.  He worked at Pershing Auditorium and was an event coordinator at the Lancaster Event Center.  The couple moved to West Point in 2012 where Jason worked for Don Wietfeld and Sons.

Jason is survived by his daughter, Jasmine, studying at University of Nebraska-Lincoln; mother, Helen Douglass of Burwell; sister, Stacey Riess of Lincoln; and brothers, Joseph (Yolanda) Stevens of West Point, Adam Douglass of Seward, and Matthew Stinson of Lincoln.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Karen, and father, Michael.
