Delvin Peplinski, 75, of Norfolk, passed away on December 17, 2018 at Faith Regional Hospital in Norfolk. Memorial Mass will be 11:00am on Saturday, January 12 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge with Fr. An Duy Phan as celebrant. Burial with military honors will be at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery with lunch following at the church hall. Arrangements by Stokely Funeral Home. Delvin D. Peplinksi was born on October 26, 1943 in Dodge to Adolph and Anna Peplinski. He grew up on the family farm west of Dodge and attended Dodge High School before joining the Army and later on the National Guard. Norfolk has been his home for many years and he ran his own freight delivery business at the time of his death. Delvin had a sense of humor that made him a pleasure to be around and had an incredible zest for life. His kind heart made him a best friend to many; including the young at heart that our family had the pleasure of meeting the night he passed. Their stories they shared told us what a special friend they found in Delvin and how much they loved and respected him. He was a great friend, brother, and uncle and enjoyed life to the fullest. Delvin especially enjoyed camping and spending happy times with his neighbors. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Delvin is survived by his siblings, Vlasta Roubal of Dodge, Darlene Glenn of Rapid City, SD, Duffy Peplinski of Dodge, Janet Franzluebbers of Wisner, Margie Broekemeier of Petersburg, and Robert Peplinski of Pender. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and Anna; brothers, Gilbert and Donald; and sister Marcella.
