Kenneth Allan Hansen, age 70, passed away on May 6, 2018 at the VA Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. Private internment at Mount Hope Cemetery, West Point will occur at a later date. Stokely Funeral Home in West Point is handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the West Point American Veterans Park. Kenneth was born in Grand Island, Nebraska on May 13, 1947 and was adopted as an infant by Clarence’Bud’ and Ethel (Martin) Hansen of West Point, NE. Kenny graduated from West Point High School in 1965. He attended auto body school in Omaha. He was drafted and served in the United States ArmyfromAugust 1966 to August 1968, trained as a medic, stationed part of his time in Germany. Following an honorable discharge, he returned to West Point. Kenny was employed there as an auto mechanic at Hagedorn Motors and then later worked at Iowa Beef Processors (IBP). In 1970, Kenny married Vicki Nolte, and their son Robert Allan Hansen was born on November 2, 1970. In 1979, Kenny was seriously injured in a car accident outside West Point. He married Corliss’Corky’ Baltz in 1991 after both attended their West Point High School alumni banquet. Kenny is survived by his son Robert Hansen of Chicago, IL, his ex-wife Corky Hansen of West Point, and many extended kin. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents Bud and Ethel Hansen.
