Joyce Logan, 86, of Beemer, passed away Friday, May 18, 2018 at Colonial Haven in Beemer. Graveside services will be 11:00am on Wednesday, May 23 at the Snyder Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be Tuesday from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at Stokely Funeral Home in West Point. A memorial has been established. Stokely Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Joyce Elaine Logan was born December 10, 1931 to Duane George and Elsie Becker in Norfolk. At age three, she was adopted by Elmer and Ida Becker of Norfolk. She grew up and attended school in Norfolk. Later she attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln where she earned a degree in Special Education. Joyce taught, worked in home health and was involved in several community groups. Joyce married in 1950. She and her husband had five daughters. In 1976, Joyce and three of her daughters relocated to Tucson, AZ. In 2002, Joyce returned to Nebraska and lived in West Point and Beemer until her death. Her faith and love of our Lord gave her strength, courage, hope, and peace through good and bad times. Survivors include her daughters Lucinda J. Dries of Colorado, Evelyn E. Brevick of Arizona, and Frances A. Barron of Florida; siblings, Fried Belcufine of California, Maxine Spurgeon, Mabel Blatt, and Nadine Christiansen all of Nebraska, and Elmer Becker, Jr. of Missouri; seven grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; daughters Penny Sue Logan and sister Rose and Ami Lynn Young.
