Rosemary Lang, 83, of West Point, died Friday, March 30, 2018 at Nebraska Medical Center in Omaham.emorial services will be 10:30am on Tuesday, April 3 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Reverend Steve Emanuel as celebrant. Lunch will be at the Nielsen Center following the service. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be Monday from 12:00pm to 7:00pm with a guild rosary at 1:30pm and a Vigil Service at 7:00pm at Stokely Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Guardian Angels Central Catholic Schools, or choice of donor. Stokely Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Rosemary Catherine Westerman was born September 19, 1934 in West Point to Anton and Mary (Vandenburg) Westerman. Rosie was a 1953 graduate of Guardian Angels High School. In 1955, Rosie married Raymond D. Harms; the couple later divorced. In 1965, she married Raymond E. Lang. Rosie worked at Scharfen’s Café in West Point for 20 years, as well as the Vet’s Club, Indian Trails Golf Course, Colonial Haven Nursing Home, and various other jobs. Rosie was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Her favorite pastimes included puzzles, slot machines, vegetable gardening, and spending time with family and friends playing cards and Scrabble. Survivors include her daughters Debra (Rod) Losee of Doniphan, DeAnn (Gregg) Schlecht of West Point, Rhonda Heldt of Tilden, Peggy Bagby of Joplin, MO, Lori Woerner of West Point, Monica Lang of Fremont, and Danita (James) Dahlgren of Bennington; 18 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. Rosie was preceded in death by her parents; sons Mitchell Harms in 1979 and Edwin’Eddie’ Lang in 1987; grandson Jesse Breitkreutz; seven brothers and three sisters.
