Viola Miller, 98, of West Point, died Monday, March 5, 2018 at Fremont Area Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2:00pm on Thursday, March 8 at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Reverend Richard Bringewatt as officiant. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery with lunch following at the church hall. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00pm to 7:00pm with family receiving from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Stokely Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church. Viola Anna Miller was born on November 2, 1919 to Hans and Alvina (Bossow) Andresen on the family farm near West Point. She attended school until the 8th grade. On October 21, 1937, Viola married Delbert’Dick’ Miller at St. Paul Lutheran Church. The couple farmed before retiring to West Point in 1980. Viola was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Dick and Viola traveled to every state in the continental United States and loved to go fishing. Survivors include children, Allan (Betty) Miller of Scribner, Joyce Baumert of Norfolk, Larry (Genene) Miller of West Point, and Joan (Tom) Stine of Pearland, TX; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and brother, LeRoy (Sharon) Andresen of Wahoo. She is preceded in death by her husband, Delbert, in 1991; parents; sisters, Rose Grovijohn, Marie Kindschuh, and Eileen Meyer; and brothers, Hans Andresen, Jr. and Frederick Andresen.
