Lorraine Reeson, 86, of West Point died Wednesday March 27, 2013 at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Funeral Mass will be 10:30am Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, West Point, with Reverend Frank Lordemann as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery. Guild Catholic Daughters and Christian Mothers Rosary will be 1:30pm Monday at Stokely Funeral Home Chapel. Wake service will be 7:00pm Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 9:00am to 4:00pm Monday at Stokely Funeral Home and continue at the church at 6:00pm. Family suggests Mass Offerings or memorials to Guardian Angels and Central Catholic Endowments and the Sunshine Center. Lorraine Lena Kluthe was born November 30, 1926 to Conrad and Mary Knust Kluthe on a farm near Dodge. She was baptized and confirmed at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Olean, and attended Sacred Heart Academy. Lorraine graduated from Dodge High School in 1944. On June 3, 1947, Lorraine married Glenn Reeson at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The couple farmed northeast of West Point, and in 1979 Lorraine began working as a nurse’s aide at St. Joseph’s Home, retiring from West Point Living Center after many years. In 2001, they moved to West Point. Lorraine was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where she served on the parish council, Guild, Christian Mothers, and Catholic Daughters. Lorraine was a 60-year member of the H. D. Neighborhood Club and the Neighbor Maker extension club. She enjoyed bowling and was known for her cooking, baking cinnamon rolls and chocolate chip cookies, and making graduation quilts for each of her grandchildren. Lorraine is survived by her husband of 65 years, Glenn of West Point; children David of Fremont, Carol (Rodney) Gustafson of Waverly, Michael (Rhonda) of West Point, Robert (Cheryl) of Omaha, Patricia (Alan) Edwards of Omaha; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister Wilma Ebbers of Hector, MN; and sister-in-law Mary Ann Kluthe of Dodge. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Irwin and wife Valerie, Vernon and wife Imelda, and Daniel; sisters Betty and husband James Dau, and Darlene and husband Richard Uher; and brother-in-law Al Ebbers.
